I think we’re all creatures of habit. Habits are important. But I think it is important to try things that make you anxious…push your limits. Believe me, when I did the Rim to River 100 miler in Nov 2023, I was quite anxious at that starting line. But once you get started you get into a rhythm.
Troy, others here don't know this, so let me call out that you are my brother. I want to call it out because I am so proud of you. You are a model of embracing joy and living life to the fullest! I love you!

I love your comment! I think habits and rituals are so important to give our lives rhythm, and to internalize and sustain healthy changes. And, like you say, we also need to take risks to push out into the blue!
If you have time, I'd love for you to share what you did to get to that 100 mile starting line and how the race changed you, so we can all learn what it takes to get to such a monumental, adventurous place and how the experience of pushing out like that enriches our lives.
